Why You’ll Love It

  • So moist. The shredded zucchini and the use of vegetable oil (in addition to butter) make this bread so incredibly moist.
  • A zucchini celebration. This recipe is one of the best ways to use summer zucchini. It tastes like your favorite spice cake (you don’t even taste the zucchini), but it makes you feel good because you’re eating a vegetable too.
  • Any time of day. Sweet but not too sweet, this zucchini-loaded loaf is perfect for breakfast (try it toasted with butter), dessert, or a snack somewhere between.

How to Hard Boil Eggs https://www.lifeloveandsugar.com/how-to-hard-boil-eggs/ https://www.lifeloveandsugar.com/how-to-hard-boil-eggs/#respond Tue, 26 Mar 2024 14:27:43 +0000 https://www.lifeloveandsugar.com/?p=132868 Learning how to hard boil eggs is one of those basic hurdles that we all have to go through at some point or another. Luckily, it’s super easy. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have all the knowledge you need to make the perfect hard (or soft) boiled eggs every time.

Eggs boiled to varying levels of doneness.

Why You’ll Love These Hard Boiled Eggs

I love having hard boiled eggs in the fridge, ready to go. They are so easy to make and there are a million ways you can use them. We eat them most mornings. Here’s why this particular recipe has my heart.

  • Consistent results. A lot of hard boiled egg recipes will have you bring the water to a boil with the eggs in it. This yields inconsistent results because it greatly depends on the pan you use and how quickly your stove brings the water to a boil. The method outlined in this post boils the water first, then adds the eggs. The pan or stove doesn’t matter because the water is already boiling. Only the time in the boiling water matters. So, as long as you set a timer, you should get the same results every time.
  • Customizable. I love that you can use the same recipe to make hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, saucy, runny eggs, and everything in between. Same method, just different cooking times.
  • Versatile. There are so many ways to use hard (or soft) boiled eggs. Enjoy them on toast for breakfast, as an easy snack, as the key ingredient in an egg salad sandwich, and more. Check out the section below titled “Serving Suggestions” for inspiration.

Loaded Breakfast Casserole – Perfect for the Holidays!

If you’re the person who usually hosts friends and family during the holidays, you know it can be a challenge to feed everyone. Overnight guests need snacks, coffee, and – of course – breakfast. This Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole is just the thing to keep everyone happy, fed, and ready to take on a day of celebrating!

One of the things I like most about this easy breakfast casserole is that it’s a breeze to prep the night before and bake the following day. All you need to do in the morning is throw the casserole in the oven and relax with a cup of good coffee or tea.

This recipe is similar to my classic Breakfast Casserolebut the addition of sausage, peppers, and onions adds incredible flavor. I also love the texture added by the hashbrowns. No matter how you slice it, this is one tasty dish. Serve with some fresh fruit and keep the coffee – or mimosas! – coming!

Apple Fritters https://www.lifeloveandsugar.com/apple-fritters/ https://www.lifeloveandsugar.com/apple-fritters/#comments Wed, 12 Oct 2022 14:00:00 +0000 https://www.lifeloveandsugar.com/?p=99288 These easy homemade Apple Fritters are laced with warm, cozy spices and coated in sweet vanilla glaze. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they literally melt in your mouth!

Fail-Proof Apple Fritter Recipe

Once you taste one of these light and tender apple fritter donuts, you’ll swear off all store-bought fritters for the rest of your life. Those pre-made letdowns couldn’t begin to compare to these quick and easy clusters of heaven.

My whole family went absolutely nuts for them. The hubs even said they’re some of the best things he’s ever eaten – and he has tested a lot of treats! We nearly fought to the death over who got to claim the last fritter.

The combination of tasty apples, comforting spices and warm, pillowy donut is just delightful. When I tested and refined this recipe, I found that a slightly thicker batter gave me the results I was after. A thinner batter made the fritters feel more like funnel cake. While I love a good funnel cake, a fritter is a donut, so it needs to have a little more structure and texture to it.

These fritters definitely deliver. They’re not too dense or heavy, but just right. Plus, they’re jam-packed with tender and delicious apples!
